The Problem

The need for therapy services continues to grow, and yet the lack of appropriate and diversified tools to support professionals coupled with systemic issues that affect families  access to regular treatment have posed major challenges to the provision of therapy services for many.

In addition to adults and children with therapeutic needs, service providers are experiencing burnout and fatigue in all areas of their practice, and yet the need for services continues to grow. Providers are stretched more than ever before. With the mandates of personal protection equipment, monitoring and health screening of clients/families, and sanitizing materials between sessions, all while performing their regular responsibilities as a professional, it is understandable that both physical and mental exhaustion have taken its toll. Service providers need a way to maximize their time and decrease the additional responsibilities associated with in person therapy appointments.

We teach, model, and encourage a love of learning, and compassion for others. Everyone a learner everyday.

Providers and specialists in specific areas of treatment are not always readily available, due to decreased access, increased layoffs, and scheduling mandates. Travel time, transportation needs, illnesses, traffic and inclement weather are just a few roadblocks that prevent regular attendance and timeliness in schedule management. These barriers result in decreased milestones achievement, little to no reimbursement for the time and resources used for the cancelled session, and increased cost of services. When service providers are unable to maximize their time, clients are left without therapy services to support their needs. The cost of times missed leaves a ripple effect impacting both families and professionals monetarily and developmentally.  Now, more than ever, service providers are looking for ways to provide quality, effective and efficient therapeutic services with the fulfillment of working directly with clients and families, with more ease, more simplicity and less hassle.

Our Solution

The Milestones Intervention Services (MIS) Platform was created to provide HIPAA-compliant video conferencing telepractice services for therapy clients of all ages and abilities. The platform was created to enhance the therapeutic experience for both service providers and recipients. Our user-friendly platform was designed by therapists specifically for supporting the needs of service providers through a telepractice model. MIS Platform removes the barriers of distance and geographical regions saving both time and money. It allows clinicians access to screen sharing and controlling features, camera filters, games/apps, and even the ability to complete documentation of therapy sessions allowing for more efficiency. Service providers and clients are able to share resources along with pictures and video back and forth, conduct scheduling of sessions, and even communicate through one, easy-to-use platform.

Within the MIS Platform, we have created an intervention hub allowing for easy accessible opportunities to share resources, learn through continuing education and converse with other service providers. By being a part of MIS, you are connecting with those dedicated to collaboration by asking questions and growing in clinical practice together. Whether you decide to log in from your home, office or cell phone, the MIS Platform is a fun and exciting way to connect with your clients, making therapy more engaging and accessible for all. With flexible scheduling options and our easy-to-use schedule manager, you can expect increased engagement and attendance in sessions and decreased cancellations associated with travel, transportation, weather, and illness impacting overall cost of services and revenue.
